To Have A Dream For Our Children – Inspired By Martin Luther King Jr.
In January we celebrate and honor the life of Martin Luther King Jr. He was a leader in the advancement of civil rights in the United States using nonviolent civil disobedience. He received the Nobel Peace Prize and the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He helped to organize the 1963 March on Washington where he delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech. In that speech he speaks of little children, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” Ever since Martin Luther King’s inspiring speech, the United States is a better place, not perfect, but better.What is your dream for your child when it comes to their dental health? It’s obvious that you can’t hit a target if you don’t have a clear vision of what it is and how to reach it. This new year, make dental goals for your child. Make plans that get them through to adulthood and daily plans to help them achieve these goals. - Make choices that support your dream. Choose dental health. Don’t ignore its importance in your child’s life.
- Set a date. It’s a good idea to make a plan, but if you don’t initiate it, it will die.
